Images:
- When the payment type is a cheque, the App allows users to capture an image using the device camera.
- The App allows users to attach images when syncing payment data to backend systems.
App Permissions:
The App requires the following Android permissions to function properly:
- CAMERA: Used solely for capturing cheque images and attaching images during payment processing. Camera permission is requested at runtime and only when required. The camera is only activated when the user explicitly initiates the action.
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES: Used to allow users to select and attach cheque images from their device gallery as an alternative to capturing a new photo. This provides flexibility in how users document cheque payments.
- BLUETOOTH_SCAN and BLUETOOTH_CONNECT: Used to connect to thermal printers via Bluetooth for printing payment receipts. These permissions are required to discover and communicate with Bluetooth-enabled printing devices.
- INTERNET: Required to sync payment data with backend systems and communicate with Ooredoo servers for processing transactions and authentication.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to check network connectivity status before attempting to sync data, ensuring a reliable connection is available for data transmission.
- USE_BIOMETRIC: Used to enable biometric authentication (fingerprint, face recognition) for secure app access and to protect sensitive payment information.
All permissions are requested at runtime according to Android best practices and are only used for their stated purposes. You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings, though this may limit certain app functionality.
